Fedor Still Open To UFC Fight; Wants Fabricio Werdum Rematch

MMA heavyweight legend Fedor Emeliananeko has said in a new interview that he’s open to the possibility of fighting in the UFC, and in an ideal world he’d like to have a rematch with Fabricio Werdum.

“I have been asked about the UFC a lot,” Fedor told Epic MMA. “Our doors are open and we are talking about it. Maybe it will happen in the future.”

When asked if there was someone in particular he would like to fight, Emelianenko thought about it for a moment before acknowledging that he’d like to avenge a loss against the UFC’s current heavyweight champion.

“I have nothing to prove, but I want to fight the best of the best, and I would like to fight UFC champion Fabricio Werdum.”

For now though it seems that Fedor’s next fight will be in Russia, following on from a successful return from retirement on New Years Eve, 2016 in the Rizin’ promotion which saw him tap out Singh Jaideep due to strikes.
