Lightweight notables Myktybek Orolbai and Mateusz Rebecki will square off against each other at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi on October 26th.
The 26-year-old Orolbai wields a 13-1 career record that includes two victories since joining the UFC roster last year.
In his Octagon debut last November Orolbai claimed a submission victory over Uros Medic, and he’s since followed that up with a unanimous decision win over Elves Brener in May.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Rebecki carries a 19-2 career record and has compiled a 3-1 run in the UFC up to this point since booking a place in the promotion with a quick submission win on the Contender Series.
Rebecki would go on to win his first three fights in the promotion, claiming a decision victory over Nick Flore, a TKO stoppage of Loik Radzhabov and a submission finish against Roosevelt Roberts, but he’s since suffered a late TKO stoppage against Diego Ferreira in May.
Orolboi vs. Rebecki joins a UFC 308 card that will be headlined by a featherweight title showdown between current champion Ila Topuria and former divisional kingpin Max Holloway, while elsewhere on the main card there’s Robert Whittaker vs. Khamzat Chimaev, Ciryl Gane vs. Alexander Volkov and Magomedov Ankalaev vs. Aleksander Rakic.
