Giga Chikadze floored Jamey Simmons with a first round head kick tonight at UFC Fight Night 182 and then sealed the TKO finish with ground and pound.
Round One:
Chikadze feels out with an early jab. He lands one and then attempts a head kick that just whistles past Chikadze’s head.
They go into a clinch in the center of the Octagon, but nothing comes of it. Chikadze tries for a front kick to the head without finding a home for it.
Body kick from Chikadze. Now a jab. Short left hand for Chikadze. Simmons into the clinch against the cage and trying to work a takedown, but his first attempt is stuffed.
Simmons continues to work for it against the cage. Chikadze attempts a takedown of his own, but it’s a stalemate and then he gets away.
There’s a bit of a lull in the action and then Chikadze lands a body kick. Now a head kick from Chikadze and Simmons drops back to the mat.
Chikadze swarms on him with a few punches on the mat and that’s it, the referee waves the fight off for a TKO finish.
