Donald Cerrone will fight for the title and loss the fight of the year
After such a long layoff and some brilliant performances for Cowboy I think he can beat Khabib Nurmagomedov. Staying on the outside picking his shots Cowboy can stifle the wrestling of the eagle long enough for him to make a mistake or win a decision. The second fight with Pettis or Dos Anjos will be closer, but he will still lose. the fight he puts on with either winner is going to be a work of art. His striking is good but Pettis’s is slighty better. His ju jitsu game is good but dos Anjos’s is slightly better. It’s not that cowboy is bad it is the fact the Pettis is so good. If Dos Anjos beats Pettis it shows he was the dark horse all along and his victory over Cowboy was no fluke. By the end of 2015 Cerrone could be stuck in limbo with two losses to the champ whoever they may be. He will have to make a choice about retiring or taking fun fights, the big ones everyone wants to see. Which leads to my next prediction.
