Frank Mir will retire after he completes his trilogy with Lesnar
That time off was good for Frank he looked loose, but crisp, and very aware. His quick knock out could earn him a quick turn around. With a win or a lose it still sets up a good story for a match with Lesnar. If Frank loses his next fight then Lesnar needs a warm up match his first fight back. If Frank wins it sets up Lesnar as a beast will to be thrown to the wolves. Lesnar will be back in 2015. With Anderson’s legacy in question, GSP retired, Nick Diaz getting busted again, they need another star besides Ronda Rousey. Lesnar is set either way as well. If he beats Mir he has momentum behind him and the UFC will rocket him up the rankings. If he loses The UFC can claim he bite off more than he could chew, the UFC is elite, and will feed him some under matched opponents to build his hype back up. Once again a win or lose doesn’t matter for Mir to retire. If he loses and he can’t beat someone with less than ten MMA fights he will know it is time to retire. If he wins his next one and his rubber match with Brock he can retire on a win streak and still have a job with the UFC whether it is announcing or analyses. This match will happen, if it’s not in 2015 it will start the next year.
