Four Things To Look Out For At UFC Fight Night 50

This Friday night (September 5, 2014), the UFC will roll into the Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut, for UFC Fight Night 50. Airing live on FOX Sports 1 at 10 p.m. EST, the main card features a pivotal middleweight headliner between No. 4-ranked Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and No. 7-ranked Gegard Mousasi.

But the hits don’t stop there; as UFC Fight Night 50 is loaded with high quality fights from top to bottom. Bruising former Strikeforce and DREAM heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem has been in the news a lot lately, but it hasn’t exactly been about fighting. He’ll take on the returning Ben Rothwell in the evening’s co-main event.

Rising heavyweight Derrick Lewis will take on veteran Matt Mitrione, and longtime lightweight competitor Joe Lauzon will face The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) winner Michael Chiesa. The main card was reduced from six fights to four yesterday, so let’s take a look at four things to keep an eye out for at UFC Fight Night 50.
