Bethe Correia May Be A Future Title Contender
Defeating Shayna Baszler with a second round TKO on Saturday, Correia took out her second of Ronda Rousey’s “Four Horsewomen,” and she may have earned a path to riches in the process. The outspoken Brazilian slugger said she wants a shot at dominant champion Ronda Rousey at the UFC 177 post-fight presser, and “Rowdy” immediately texted UFC President Dana White to accept.
While it will most likely be awhile before she gets her shot at Rousey, Correia undoubtedly put herself on the radar in the big way. If she continues to win impressively in the relatively shallow women’s bantamweight division, a title shot could soon be in the cards for the rising Correia.
