When is Neil Magney going to put it all together?
Do not think I don’t appreciate going 5 and 0 in one year. That is an amazing accomplishment. My question is more of a compliment. There are glimpses of greatness in Magney’s fights, but also glimpses of rookie mistakes and tentativeness. He is on a five fight win streak, but he hasn’t exactly annihilated and made short work of those five opponents. He has the athleticism and the tools to be facing higher talent, he just can never put it all together. He did finish his opponent this weekend, by hurting him with a strike and finishing him on the ground, but he was getting tagged by Macario Before that. Once Neil got fired up he looked a lot better. He needs to be able to perform like that all the time. It almost looks like he is not confident in himself once in the octagon. I really hope that changes after such record setting year. He is still young and still has time. He just needs to keep polishing what he has, and one day, it will all click.
