Uriah Hall defeats Gegard Mousasi by TKO at 0.25mins of Rd2

Fight Report

Kyoji Horiguchi defeats Chico Camus by unanimous decision (30-27 x3)

This was the latest in a string of competitive stand-up battles on this card. Horiguchi had the power advantage here and was offering up a higher volume of strikes and though Camus was finding a home for some of his counters he just couldn’t match that firepower and had significant damage to his face by the end of the fight.

Takeya Mizugaki defeats George Roop by unanimous decision (29-28 x3)

Another war on the feet here with Mizugaki doing well with his boxing despite being at a distinct height and reach disadvantage. Roop was putting together his punches too with some success, but the better work was coming from the Japanese fighter who repeatedly snapped Roop’s head back and he gets the unanimous decision win.

Diego Brandao defeats Katsunori Kikuno by TKO at 0.28mins of Rd1

Wow, Brandao came out in the first round like a bat out of hell, immediately dropping Kikuno with a big right hook. Kikuno scrambles back up and tries to get away, but Brandao is still on the hunt and quickly chases him down, clinches up and throws him to the mat and starts blasting him with more hard blows. Kikuno wilts and soon after the fight is over. Great win for Brandao in under 30 seconds.

Mizuto Hirota vs Teruto Ishihara ends in a split draw (29-29, 29-28, 28-29)

These two Road To Japan finalists really gave their all in a three-round toe-to-toe slugfest. Hirota in particular was dropped several times during the fight, but he always got right back up and actually appeared to have the better of the later rounds overall. however, the judges can’t agree on a winner and it ends up as a split draw.
