Amanda Lemos vs. Virna Jandiroba Set For UFC Fight Night 244

A women’s strawweight fight between Amanda Lemos and Virna Jandiroba has been announced for UFC Fight Night 244 in Las Vegas on July 20th.

The 36-year-old Lemos last fought in February, earning a unanimous decision victory over Mackenzie Dern. Prior to that Lemos had fought for the strawweight title against Zhang Weili in August of last year, but lost out unanimously on the scorecards.

In total Lemos holds an 8-3 record in the UFC so far and holds down the No.3 spot on the 115lb rankings, leaving her two spots above her next opponent Jandiroba, who is at No.5.

The 35-year-old Jandiroba is currently in the midst of a three-fight winning streak, having won on the scorecards against Angela Hill, Marina Rodriguez and Loopy Godinez over the past couple of years.

A former Invicta FC strawweight champion, Jandiroba’s current UFC record stands at 6-3.

Lemos vs. Jandiroba joins a UFC Fight Night 244 card that will also include Doo-Ho Choi vs. Bill Algeo, Jun Yung Park vs. Brad Tavares and Tracy Cortez vs. Miranda Maverick.
