Bellator 300 took place last night and you can check out all the results below.
The main card featured three title fights, including the main event, which saw Usman Nurmagomedov successfully defend his lightweight title against Brent Primus.
The 25-year-old Usman, cousin of UFC legend Khabib, comfortably picked apart Primus on the feet throughout the fight to win by unanimous decision (50-45 x3) to extend his unbeaten record to 18-0.
In the co-main event, Cris Cyborg made it look easy in her featherweight title defense against Cat Zingano, quickly establishing her striking superiority, then capitalizing on a failed takedown attempt later in the round to land hammer-fists to her grounded opponent until the stoppage at 4.01mins of the opening round.
Also successfully defending her flyweight belt was Liz Carmouche in an underwhelming fight with Iliama-Lei Macfarlane in which both seemed to struggle to up their intensity, despite repeated warnings from the referee.
Nonetheless, a leg kick from Carmouche in the third round damaged Macfarlane’s knee, and that would eventually pay off for her early in the final round when her opponent was left unable to continue due to the injury, resulting in a TKO stoppage.
Following last night’s show there continues to be question marks regarding Bellator’s future, with Scott Coker admitting that there is “a lot of uncertainty and unknowns” amid continued rumors of Viacom looking to exit the combat sports business and talk of a potential merger with PFL.
