Dana White Claims Khabib Nurmagomedov Has Hinted He May Return

Dana White finally met face-to-face with lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov yesterday on Fight Island to discuss whether he still has a future in the fight game and while nothing’s decided yet, according to the UFC President there’s still a glimmer of hope that he may indeed return to fight another day.

“I’m going to watch the two lightweight fights at 257,” White claimed Khabib told him during the media. “If these guys do something spectacular and make me want to come back and fight, I’ll fight.”

So that suggests that both UFC 257’s main event between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, plus the co-main event which features Dan Hooker vs. Michael Chandler would be being closely scrutinized by Khabib, while White also mentioned that ‘The Eagle’ had mentioned that Charles Oliveira also looked good in his last fight.

It’s worth holding back on the celebrations for now if you are a fight fan eager to see Khabib return though as nothing is set in stone here and it’s still possible this is just a nice soundbite from White to get people tuning in for next weekend’s blockbuster pay-per-view.
