UFC Events to keep coming

The UFC main events continue to come thick and fast for the promotion, as there are a number of huge events taking place on a weekly basis all over the world.

UFC 272 provided fans with quality action

At the beginning of March, on Saturday 5, we were all able to witness UFC 272 where we saw Colby Covington manage to defeat Jorge Masvidal via decision after the five rounds could not split the competitors in the Octagon.

Indeed, there were a number of UFC betting opportunities to have been made available, with many punters having been able to enjoy some spectacular odds and betting markets.

Other matches on the UFC 272 fight card saw Rafael dos Anjos come out victorious in his catchweight fight with Renato Moicano in similar circumstances, as the five rounds that were scheduled were unable to split the fighters, either.

Edson Barbosa also won by decision, as he handed Bryce Mitchell the first defeat of his UFC career in their featherweight contest, whilst Kevin Holland and Sergey Spivak both managed to end their contests with Alex Oliveira and Greg Hardy respectively early.

UFC Fight Night: Santos vs Ankalaev

The weekend of March 12 saw UFC Fight Night take place where Thiago Santos and Magomad Ankalaev square up against each other in a bout as the main event, whilst Marlon Moraes and Song Yadong shared the headline event on that particular card.

Other fights on the main card included Sodiq Yusuff vs Alex Caceres, Khalil Rountree vs Karl Roberson, Drew Dober vs Terrance McKinney, and Alex Pereira vs Bruno Silva, thus highlighting how stacked the promotion is in regard to talent at the moment.

UFC London

Let’s not forget, the weekend of March 19 will see the UFC head to the United Kingdom and the O2 Arena in London with another outstanding main card.

Alexander Volkan will headline the event when he takes on Tom Aspinall in a heavyweight fight in the capital of the UK. Co-main eventing the night will be a featherweight contest between Arnold Allen and Dan Hooker, whilst there are many that will be looking forward to the match between Nikita Krylov and Paul Craig, with many perhaps feeling that the pair are a little underrated in regard to their skills in the Octagon.

UFC 273 is only a month away

Despite the fact that there are so many great fights to have been witnessed recently and that there will be more in the future, many will already be looking ahead to UFC 273 in April.

Scheduled to take place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, United States, on April 9, 2022, many have already started to get really excited about the card that has been created for this event.

Indeed, the highlight will be the featherweight contest between Alexander Volkanovski and Chan Sung Jung as it is for the title and features two of the best competitors in the division. Additionally, the event will also see the UFC Bantamweight Championship be defended as Aljamain Sterling goes up against Petr Yan; again, two of the best fighters in the world at that weight class.
