Tatiana Suarez will go up against Virna Jandiroba in a potential women’s strawweight title elimination fight at UFC 310 in Las Vegas on December 7th.
The 33-year-old Suarez is a former TUF season 23 winner who holds a perfect 10-0 career record, including seven wins in a row inside the UFC’s Octagon.
The downside is that Suarez has been injury-jinxed throughout her career, having suffered serious neck and knee injuries that have kept her out of action for long spells over the years.
That included a three-and-a-half year layoff between June of 2019 and February of 2023, but despite that Suarez still looked as impressive as ever upon her return, racking up back-to-back rear-naked choke victories over Montana De La Rosa and Jessica Andrade last year, before suffering another injury layoff.
Now the No.1 ranked strawweight contender will go up against the No.3 placed Jandiroba, who is currently on a four-fight winning streak.
The 36-year-old has beaten a string of notable opponents during that run, including decision wins over Angela Hill, Marina Rodriguez and Loopy Godinez, before securing a submission finish against Amanda Lemos last time out in July.
Suarez vs. Jandiroba joins a UFC 310 card that at this stage doesn’t have a confirmed main or co-main event, with the only other fight so far announced being Anthony Smith vs. Dominick Reyes.
