An Idiot’s Guide to Aussie and Kiwi Fighters UFC Fight Night 65: Part 1

Olympic Judakos make excellent MMA fighters

Daniel Kelly and Ronda Rousey at the moment shares two similarities – both of them are under UFC contracts and both had competed more than once in Olympic Judo.

Victorian Daniel Kelly wins 100kg class at Oceania Judo ...

Kelly as a late comer to MMA has an impressive record so far. He is undefeated at 9 wins, out of which 4 was won within the first round by submission (sounds familiar again?) At the age of 37, however, it may only take one bad fight put the brakes on his career. His last fight with Patrick Walsh was a Decision win, but the match was unentertaining with little else but punches from the two men. Kelly will need a Rousey like win again to bring some life back to his game. If successful, I hope Kelly and Rousey will share a third common ground – fighting in UFC 193.
