Chris Weidman
Many fans were surprised when the UFC brass gave the then 9-0 Chris Weidman a title shot against superstar and then-Middleweight champion Anderson Silva. It almost seemed like a David vs. Goliath match up on paper, but Weidman shocked the world and became the first –and currently only – fighter to finish Silva and capture the belt in the process.
Weidman then showed it was no fluke after he stopped Silva a second time in a rematch, which was then followed by a unanimous decision win over Lyoto Machida. That has put his record at 12-0, but don’t be surprised if he makes that record even more perfect in the coming years.
