Four Reasons Mark Hunt Won’t Win The Interim Title At UFC 180

UFC 160 últimas noticias - En la Pelea

1.) Conditioning:

Weighing in at over 300 pounds in between fights, Hunt has never been known as the most in-shape UFC heavyweight. His last bout, a knockout victory over Roy “Big Country” Nelson in the main event of September 20’s UFC Fight Night 52, took place under two months ago.

That means that Hunt had to rapidly lose 37 pounds to make the heavyweight division’s 265-pound weight limit, and he had to do it in the high altitude of Mexico City.

Both of those factors could leave Hunt gasping for air if the fight with Werdum lasts for more than one or two rounds, and that could put him at a very significant disadvantage against ‘Vai Cavalo,’ who has spent the last two months training with his team in Mexico City.
