I was hesitant to put him on this list until I realized he made the biggest statement he could have made. Any other ending would have led to some questions with bad implications. If he had a slugfest, his longevity would be called into question. If he had chosen to wrestle, his fear of the knockout would have been questioned. If It went the distance, his declining strength would be questioned. He was the underdog coming in and it only took him 28 seconds to prove that he was anything but an underdog. Will he ever when a belt? Probably not, but does he have a few years of gatekeeping and highlight reel KO’s left in him? Absolutely, and that was the statement he made this weekend, he still has some gas left in the tank, and it’s more than most people think.
