Rafael Dos Anjos
He was counted out from the start. From the advertising to the odds makers everyone thought the night was going to be about Anthony “Showtime” Pettis. The theme of the event was even welcome to the show. The problem was, showtime was shut down in the first round. RDA came out aggressive, technical and fearless. He was able to get and stay inside on Pettis and land a monster left hand that left the champ with a broken orbital bone. He mixed up his strikes between hands and kicks very well leaving odds makers and advertisers wishing they would have payed more attention to him. He made a huge statement to stop counting him out. It was a near perfect performance. The only way to top that would be to end it with a late finish.
