Former UFC double-champion Henry Cejudo has criticized Conor McGregor’s boxing technique after watching one of his latest training videos.

“Think of your straights as swords, and your hooks as hammers. @McGregorFast,” McGregor had written alongside a video of his padwork, but Cejudo wasn’t impressed.

“Everything is done naked. No fakes, no faints, no level changes,” Cejudo said in his critique. “But you think your going to get a different result. You work to much on combinations where you should be working entries, set ups, and setting traps. Just a tip from the goat 🐐 mahhhh.”

“The opening punches are the traps/feints/fakes. You ever hear or see that before?” McGregor fired back. “Your little feints won’t draw me out, kid. But pump a few real shots you might get a response. You are a little fat novice with about 2 ko’s [sic]. At bantam [sic]. I’ve 20. Across 3 divisions. Quiet, you bum!”

It’s not the first time Cejudo has called McGregor’s skills into question as just last month he was also taking pot-shots at him.

“Your hands are down and your distance is off. Stay away from them yes men. Just a tip from the goat,” Cejudo had wrote after seeing another padwork video.

“The same reason why you let people chew that front leg @thenotoriousmma is the same reason why I would stop you. What do you say I make my comeback at 155?
@danawhite #therealhistorymaker.”

Cejudo has been making bold declarations about making a comeback and suggesting who he might fight for some time now, but at present the former flyweight and bantamweight champion doesn’t have a fight booked, though he did re-enter the USADA testing pool back in February – a mandatory process for any returning fighter.

Meanwhile, McGregor continues to battle back to full recovery from the broken leg he suffered in his last fight with Dustin Poirier in July of last year and as such does not yet have a firm date for his own comeback yet.
