Doo-Ho Choi looked slick and technical as he picked apart Nate Landwehr for the best part of three rounds tonight at UFC 310, before sealing the deal with ground-and-pound strikes from the crucifix position.

Round One:

Landwehr immediately charges towards Choi. Choi with a nice uppercut though. Heavy overhand right from Choi. Now a hook lands that knocks Landwehr off-balance to the side for a moment.

Jab for Choi and then a hard low kick. Another punch lands as his good start continues. Low kick. Now a low kick fromm Landwehr, who is already bleeding.

Uppercut for Choi. Back to the calf kick. Solid punch to the body. Landwehr tries to clinch up, but Choi shifts around to his back and brings him down to his knees.

Choi getting his hooks in. Landwehr able to scramble out though. Right hook from Choi. Now treatening with the uppercut again. Back to the leg kick. Knee for Landwehr and attempts to clinch without success.

Low kick for Choi. Right hand. More clean punches from Choi and then a body punch. Landwehr with a punch. Uppercut from Choi snaps Landwehr’s head back for a moment. Landwehr clinches up against the cage.

They jockey for position against the cage now. Knee to the body for Landwehr. Back to striking range now. Right hand for Choi.

Round Two:

Choi immediately back to his crisp boxing combinations. He works in that uppercut and digs to the body as well.

Calf kick for Choi and then one for Landwehr. Landwehr opts to clinch up. He’s doing his best to try to wear down Choi, but not been successful so far. Landwehr with an elbow in close and then they go back to striking range.

Calf kick for Choi. Spinning elbow from Landwehr lands. Landwehr clinches and Choi brings him down with a well executed takedown.

Choi gets the back, but then works towards mount, then onto the back once more. He flattens Landwehr out in the center of the Octagon.

Choi a bit high on Landwehr’s back, but starts to adjust. Eventually Choi opts to back out and stand. However, when Landwehr tries to get going Choi immediately brings him right back down again.

Choi in half-guard. Now north-south position as landwehr goes to his knees and is then able to stand. Landwehr clinches against the cage, but Choi reverses the position.

Round Three:

Landwehr swinging for the fences, but Choi avoiding. Choi lands and then steps out of Landwehr’s big swings. Choi able to bring him down.

Choi in side control now with four minutes left in the fight to work. He gets to the crucifix and lands some elbows.

Now some punches land as Landwehr tries but fails to scramble out. Choi takes his time to ensure he stays in this dominant position and then starts to land a few more punches and the occasional elbow.

Landwehr trying to buck out of this multiple times, but noting doing. Choi goes back to elbow strikes and that’s it, the referee has seen enough and ends the fight, handing Choi an assured, one-sided TKO victory at 3.21mins of the third round.
