UFC 49 – Yves Edwards vs. Josh Thomson – Referee steve Mazzagatti
This terrible call from Mazzagatti wasn’t due to the fact that he failed to see a fighter was out from a submission, but rather that he failed to see the obvious that Thomson was knocked out from a spectacular head kick.
Instead of stepping in and protecting the fighter, Edwards was able to unleash around seven more brutal blows before the stoppage.
