UFC 115 – Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman – Referee Yves Lavigne
One of the trickiest submissions for referees to accurately do their jobs are chokes.
In this fight, Wiman had Danzig caught in a guillotine, but Danzig was working his way out of the submission. When Lavigne checked to see if Danzig was still conscious, he didn’t get a reaction from him and called the fight.
However, as soon as Wiman got up, it was obvious to see that Danzig was very much still conscious and none-to-pleased about the decision.
