Top Six Fighters “Do Or Die” MMA Debuts in the Big Leagues

Cain Velasquez

The UFC Heavyweight Champion made his MMA debut in Strikeforce in October 2006 on the main card of Tank vs. Buentello. It was a successful MMA debut as he fought Jesse Fujarczyk and beat him via TKO in the first round.

It took just two fights for Velasquez to get a call up to the UFC, where he won his first six fights in hat organisation before beating Brock Lesnar to win the Heavyweight title. He reclaimed the belt from Junior dos Santos after originally losing it to him and has held it ever since.
