Top Six Fighters “Do Or Die” MMA Debuts in the Big Leagues

Cung Le

Cung Le made his MMA debut in March 2006 at Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Gracie in a winning effort against Mike Altman. The Vietnamese-American went on to have a 7-1 record with Strikeforce – during which he won the Strikeforce Middleweight Championship – before eventually moving onto the UFC.

He stumbled in his UFC debut after losing to Wanderlei Silva in a back and forth fight, but has since reasserted himself as a top fighter in the middleweight division after wins against Patrick Cote and Rich Franklin. Le’s solid MMA career shows that starting big has well and truly paid off for the 41-year-old.
