Raul Rosas Jr To Fight Ricky Turcios At UFC Fight Night 237 In Mexico

Raul Rosas Jr’s next fight will be against Ricky Turcios at UFC Fight Night 237 on February 24th in Mexico City.

The 19-year-old Rosas has gone 2-1 in the UFC so far since joining from the Contender Series in 2022. He earned a swift submission victory in his debut against Jay Perrin, but his hype train threatened to be derailed when Christian Rodriguez beat him by unanimous decision in April of last year.

However, the talented youngster has since steadied the ship with a 54 second TKO victory over Terrence Mitchell in September and now gets an opportunity to fight on home soil in Mexico.

He’ll be going up against the 30-year-old Turcios, who first emerged on the UFC’s radar as a fighter on the first ever episode of the Contender Series, and though he lost his fight he’d then re-appear a few years later as the bantamweight winner on the Ultimate Fighter Season 29 show.

Since then Turcios has mirrored Rosas Jr’s form by going 2-1 in the UFC, with a loss to Aiemann Zahabi being sandwiched inbetween split-decision wins over Brady Hiestand and Kevin Natividad.

Rosas Jr. vs Turcios joins a UFC Fight Night 237 card that will be headlined by former flyweight champion Brandon Moreno going up against Amir Albazi, while Brian Ortega rematches Yair Rodriguez in the co-main event.
