A middleweight fight between Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov will headline UFC Fight Night 235 on February 3rd at a location that’s still to be confirmed at this stage.
Currently ranked No.7 in the division, Dolidze is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Marvin Vettori back in March.
The 35-year-old has since seen bouts against Derek Brunson and Jared Cannonier both fall through as he looks to get back to the form that saw him win four fights in a row against the likes of Jack Hermansson, Phil Hawes, Kyle Daukaus and Laureano Staropoli from 2021-2022.
Now he’ll be going up against the No.11 placed Imavov, whose last fight against Chris Curtis in June ended in a no-contest due to a clash of heads left his opponent unable to continue.
Prior to that Imavov had lost to Sean Strickland via unanimous decision, but he had earned victories over Joaquin Buckley, Edmen Shahbazyan and Ian Heinisch, leaving his overall UFC record at 4-2 (+1nc) to date.
Dolidze vs. Imavov fronts a UFC Fight Night 235 card that also includes the likes of Viviana Araujo vs. Natalia Silva and Julija Stoliarenko vs. Luana Carolina, with more fights still to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
