UFN 53-54 Aftermath: 6 Fighters Poised For Mediocrity In 2015

UFC 158: John Makdessi vs. Daron Cruickshank On Tap | RantSports

Daron Cruikshank

Daron Cruikshank has some of the most spectacular wins in recent memory.  That double head kick on Erik Koch was a work of art.  His fight with Njokuani was a gorgeous display of how to mix things up.  The problem is his losses are pretty spectacular too.  That broken nose at the hands of John Makdessi was an ugly mess.  Inconsistency and alternating wins and losses does little to help a fighter learn.  At least with consistent losses a fighter will know what areas he or she needs to improve in.  If Cruickshank wants to get off the prelims and onto the main card he is going to have to find some consistency.  That might mean toning down his unorthodox attack and picking his shots.  This might mean better game planning because the same strategy isn’t going to work against every opponent.  Whatever he choses to do he better chose wisely or it’s only a matter of time before he picks up another loss inside the Octagon.
