12 Top MMA Fighters Who Lost Their Debuts

Andrei Arlovski

Known as ‘The Pit Bull’, Arlovski was one of the top heavyweight fighters in the world at one point in time, having held and defended the UFC Heavyweight championship between 2005 and 2006.

While he has enjoyed a solid MMA career in promotions like the UFC, Affliction and Strikeforce, Arlovski actually lost his MMA debut in 1999 against the infamous Viacheslav Datsik.

Just a couple of years later he was fighting in the UFC though and has since fought in battles against such top fighters as Fabricio Werdum, Fedor Emelianenko, Tim Sylvia, Roy Nelson and Vladimir Matyushenko over his decade plus long MMA career.Andrei Arlovski
