Cynthia Calvillo has been lined up to fight Katyln Chookagian at UFC 255 on November 21st at the APEX facility in Las Vegas.
Calvillo had previously been slated to fight Lauren Murphy at UFC 254, but had to pull out of the fight after testing positive for Covid-19.
The 33-year-old Calvillo has already racked up one win in 2020, having defeated Jessica Eye by unanimous decision at flyweight back in June.
Prior to that Calvillo had fought to a majority draw with Marina Rodriguez after previous victories over Cortney Casey and Poliana Botelho, all of which leaves her ranked No.4 in the 125lb division.
As for Chookagian, she is getting a swift return to action after suffering a TKO loss against Jessica Andrade last month.
Before that the former title challenger had secured a decision victory over Antonina Shevchenko and is currently placed two positions above Calvillo in the rankings at No.2.
Calvillo vs. Chookagian joins a UFC 255 card that’s set to be headlined by two title fights, with Deiveson Figueiredo defending his flyweight belt against Alex Perez, while women’s 125lb champ Valentina Shevchenko goes up against Jennifer Maia.
