Elon Musk Pictured Training With GSP, John Danaher And Lex Freidman

UFC legend Georges St-Pierre recently offered to help train Elon Musk after learning of a potential MMA fight between the billionaire and his business rival Mark Zuckerberg, and it seems his offer was accepted as a new photo has now emerged of the two after a gym session.

The photo shows a smiling Musk and St-Pierre alongside the former two-division UFC champ’s coveted BJJ coach John Danaher and popular computer scientist turned podcaster / BJJ enthusiast Lex Freidman, and from the comments they made it seemed they all had a good time.

“Great training session with 3 men I really admire,” St-Pierre wrote. “Combined IQ in this photo is 1000. Not including me.”

“Really fun!” Musk said. “The obvious conclusion is that I need a *lot* more training.”

“Had a great training session with @elonmusk, @GeorgesStPierre, and John Danaher last night,” Friedman stated. “Everything about this was epic!”

Freidman had previously rolled with Musk a week ago and posted his thoughts afterwards.

“I did an impromptu training session with @elonmusk for a few hours yesterday,” Freidman wrote last Tuesday. “I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power, and skill, on the feet and on the ground. It was epic. It’s really inspiring to see Elon and Mark doing martial arts, but I think the world is served far better if they train martial arts but not fight in the cage. That said, as Elon says, the most entertaining outcome is the most likely… I’m there for them, no matter what.”

When he first suggested on Twitter that he have a cage fight with Zuckerberg, Musk had also noted that he had trained in BJJ Before and had also been in numerous street fights while growing up in South Africa.

However, though Musk has a 6″ height advantage and likely weighs in excess of 50lbs more, Zuckerberg is 13 years his junior and has been known to have been actively training in MMA since the Covid lockdowns in 2020. He’s been training with MMA professionals in both striking and BJJ, the latter of which he dedicated the most time to, leading to him also winning a white-belt tournament earlier this year.

Like Musk, Zuckerberg has had MMA royalty offering to train with him, including current heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

It still remains to be seen whether this freak show fight will actually happen or if it’s all just talk, but UFC President Dana White is all-in on the idea of making it become a reality and has been in talks with both moguls to promote what he believes would be the biggest PPV fight in combat sports history.
